Tech. Better Contracts and Influencing for Inclusivity. It's Crafty Counsel.

Spring seems to have finally sprung…at least it seemed that way on set yesterday with some of our wonderful new presenters - thank you to everyone who took part! Carrying this sunny theme through to today, here’s a round-up of all things Crafty Counsel below to shine some extra brightness on your day. We’ll be collaborating with DLA Piper WIN at their evening seminar next week - read below for more details!

This past week we were told by one Crafty Counsel fan that our events page is ‘the only place to find out about events in the legal industry.’ We hope you agree! So feel free to browse the whole collection on our events page - alternatively we’ve highlighted some of our favourites below.

  • DLA Piper will be hosting a WIN keynote panel discussion on ‘The Rise of Legal Operations’ on Wednesday 20th March at their London Head Office. The panel includes Caroline Brown of Aviva, Rob Booth of Crown Estates and Mo Zain Ajaz of National Grid. Crafty Counsel is the media partner for this event so it’s going to be mega! We’ll be filming interviews with the delegates on what Legal Ops means to their business, and also capturing the best bits of the seminar. So if you’re planning on attending, please come and say hi (and let us know if you want to say a few words)! The evening event will be followed by networking drinks - you can RSVP to the event via our website . Please note this event is only open to in-house teams.

  • gunnercooke is hosting a ‘Protecting your business from cyber-threats’ seminar in partnership with Mitigo Cyber Security. They’ll be hosting an interactive seminar for businesses to receive invaluable support and advice from security experts Mitigo Cyber Security, alongside a number of gunnercooke partners. The session takes place in London on 20th March and Manchester on 27th March.

  • TLT will be running a seminar on ‘Lean contracts for agile development’ in Manchester on Wednesday 27th March. As businesses continue to demand more flexibility and responsiveness from their tech solutions, TLT asks whether your standard contracts are fit for purpose when projects move on from a waterfall method of delivery?

Until next time!

Best wishes,
