Wellness in Law

A career in law is not for the faint-hearted. It is a profession that requires lawyers to be constantly switched on, available to deal with intricate matters, assess risks in business areas they may not be 100% familiar with and being subject to external regulation can be quite stressful in itself.

How do lawyers navigate the pressures of the job? And how do they make time for their mental health and wellbeing? What keeps them going? We speak to legal professionals about how they look after their own wellbeing and to professionals who help lawyers on the journey to wellness. As the CEO of LawCare’s Elizabeth Rimmer says it is “okay not be okay” and to ask for help.

We are looking to feature in-house lawyers with a passion outside the legal field that keeps them sane. Are you an in-house lawyer who paints in your spare time? Or a GC who plays the violin? Do you do trail running or mountain biking? Get in touch we would love to tell your story.
