Why a Fintech tried to kill me, or why my Mum is on Netflix

09.50 - 10.20

Wirecard was a European Fintech champion, listed and with a market cap greater than that of Deutsche Bank. Pav Gill landed a great job in one of Europe’s most feted Fintechs as their Head of Legal in Singapore. But - it wasn’t long before colleagues in Finance came to him with concerns about suspect transactions. In the months that followed, Pav would go from setting up an internal investigation, to receiving death threats and being driven out of the company. Finally, Pav shared documents with the Financial Times which were instrumental in the implosion of one of Europe’s greatest frauds. Pav has sadly been unable to fly in to join us in person due to personal circumstances but he is dialling in for a live fireside chat with Ben White, Crafty Counsel’s Founder, during which Pav will be addressing questions raised by guests at Fintech Day.
