“I don’t want to take my work home with me every evening and be thinking about it all the time when I’m at home, because I want to have a life.”
That is the sentiment that drove Ruth Ormston, the Deputy Director of the Mindfulness Initiative, to seek out mindfulness practice while she worked as a commercial solicitor.
She says the practice ticked many boxes and helped her to stop worrying constantly and stemmed how much she catastrophizes about the future.
Ruth started the Mindfulness in Law initiative, which assists lawyers who are interested in learning about the benefits of mindfulness. The group is free to join.
