Lisa Goldkuhl is an attorney practising in a government agency in California. She sees mistakes as at the heart of what it means to be a lawyer: dealing with client’s mistakes in litigation and trying to avoid mistakes and misunderstandings in the contracts and deals that are prepared.
Lisa’s view is that lawyers should embrace and learn from the inevitable mistakes that come our way, but it took an encounter with a far-sighted supervisor for Lisa to understand how to set the right tone as a leader herself.
