Why does it matter whether we choose one word or another to describe different types of legal work? Well – whether it’s understanding legal fees, work allocation, comparing different jurisdictions’ legal rules, matter management, or virtually any part of how legal work gets done – we can’t understand unless we’re talking the same language.

noslegal is an open-source project aiming to articulate simple, usable ways to classify legal activity for very practical purposes.

This video with some of the early participants in the project, who are drawn from across legal, aims to introduce why legal categorisation matters, what noslegal are doing about it, and how you can get involved.
